Using the tool
How do I send a WhatsApp message without saving the number?
Go to the tool, choose your country, enter the phone number and an optional message, click Create chat links and then Open chat. WhatsApp opens a conversation with that number without adding it to your contacts.
What number format should I use?
International format with digits only: country code + number, e.g. 201001234567 (Egypt), 966501234567 (Saudi Arabia), 14155552671 (USA). If you select your country, local numbers like 01001234567 are converted automatically.
Can I message many numbers at once?
Yes, paste up to 500 numbers (one per line). The tool creates a link for each and “Open next chat” lets you go through them one by one. WhatsApp requires you to press Send in each chat, so the tool is not an automatic bulk sender.
How do I personalize messages with each person’s name?
Write each line as number, name and put {name} in your message, e.g. “Hi {name}, your order is ready”. Each chat gets the right name.
Can I use bold, italic and emojis?
Yes. Use the toolbar or type *bold*, _italic_, ~strike~ and ```mono```. The live preview shows how it will look in WhatsApp.
How do I make a WhatsApp link or QR code for my business?
Enter your own number and a welcome message, click Create chat links, then press Copy for the link or QR to download a QR code you can print on flyers, menus or packaging.
What is the difference between “WhatsApp app” and “WhatsApp Web” mode?
App mode uses wa.me links and opens the WhatsApp app (or WhatsApp Desktop). Web mode opens the chat in WhatsApp Web in your browser — handy on computers without the desktop app.
Can I export the links?
Yes, click Export CSV to download a spreadsheet with every number, name and WhatsApp link, or Copy all to copy the links.
Privacy and safety
Is the tool free and private?
Yes. It’s free, needs no sign-up and runs in your browser. Your numbers and messages are never uploaded or stored on our servers.
Will the recipient see my number?
Yes. Messages are sent from your own WhatsApp account, so the recipient sees your number and profile like any normal chat.
Can I get banned for using this tool?
Using click-to-chat links is safe and official. But if people report your messages as spam, WhatsApp can ban your number. Only message people who know you or asked to be contacted.
Does PAYATE work for WhatsApp?
No. PAYATE Chat is independent and not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.
Troubleshooting
WhatsApp says “The phone number shared via url is invalid”.
That number isn’t registered on WhatsApp or has the wrong country code. Check the country you selected and the number of digits.
Nothing happens when I click “Open next chat”.
Your browser may be blocking pop-ups. Allow pop-ups for chat.payate.com or use the “Open chat” buttons in the list.
My message arrives without line breaks or emojis.
Update WhatsApp to the latest version. The tool encodes line breaks and emojis correctly for all current WhatsApp apps.
Does it work with WhatsApp Business?
Yes. If both apps are installed, your phone may ask which one to open.
